The new Search helped users find and filter restaurants more easily through a unified interface. Analytics showed a 3× faster task time for sales and analyst teams.

Users needed a quicker way to search Brizo’s restaurant data. The old interface had too many menus and scattered filters, causing confusion and wasted time. “The 2.0 platform is much better with the improved UI, export process, search savings, map functionality, etc.! Thanks so much for granting us access.” — New user migrated from the previous platform to version 2.

Approach

I simplified how users search and filter data while keeping depth. The design reduced cognitive load and improved efficiency.

I used Fitts’s Law and progressive disclosure to create a single search field that merges search and filters. Filters stack as chips and run when users click Apply, cutting redundant steps and speeding insights.

My Role & Scope

Since rollout, the new Search became central to how users access data. It cut search friction, boosted confidence, and reinforced Brizo’s accessible analytics lead.
